What procedure should be followed if a project-specific leakage source is not clearly covered by the leakage sources identified in the Biochar Methodology, Edition 2025?

Puro encourages you to describe your assessment and proposed approach in the Project Description, including why you consider that the potential leakage source, if recognized, should be deemed mitigated for your project.

To formally request reassessment of a potential leakage source related to your project-specific diversion, follow rule 8.1.6, “Deviations from Identified Leakage Sources.” If Puro accepts the reassessment, you may then submit a proposal for appropriate mitigation measures for that leakage source, in accordance with Rule 8.2.7, “Suggestion of Other Leakage Mitigation Options.”
